Press release 22-05-2017: Start DAEL Talent
Monday 22 May 2017
DAEL Group will soon start a business training at its own office at Aartsdijkweg 81. This in collaboration with ROC Mondriaan; a school which offers technical education in the Hague. At DAEL Talent, students will get the chance to recieve an Collage degree in Electrical Engineering free of charge. And if they succeed, they are assured of a job at DAEL. This way, DAEL hopes to capture the imminent lack of mechanics in the region.
A new semester of training and guidance of young students at the DAEL Talent business school will start in September. Through a combination of hard work and learning DAEL hopes to be able to turn them into professional technicians fast. After the orientation phase (which will take them about one year) the engineers specialize themselves within the Telecom, Rail and Security branch.
Currently there is no such training available nearby. DAEL’s business training will therefore be a welcome addition to the educational offer in this region. The examination will be conducted by the ROC Mondriaan, and teachers will travel to Maasdijk to give the theory lessons here. This way, DAEL is able to offer the training free of charge. However, the practical lessons are given by experienced DAEL engineers.
DAEL owners Klaas and André van der Hout have big plans for the future. Van der Hout: “As soon as we move to our new building in Honderdland (a business area in Maasdijk, red.), we want to expand the education offer. In this way we also want to train engineers in other fields of business.” If this plan succeeds, this can be the solution tot he imminent shortage of mechanics in the region.
Signing up for DAEL’s business training is still possible! Dutch students are invited to send their CV and motivation to talent@dael.com
